No buy Merlin the cat thinks the fuse is a new place to play. The only noise I hear out of that thing is when he gets stuck.

            FNG,
Very cool!! I thought only old Sea Furys used sleeve valve engines though?!!

Let me know the date's you'll be in Sacramento. I live about 5 minutes away from the field on Florin rd. I'd love to see that baby fly!

            Race 29

I hope to put a hurt to those guys on the 9th. They left another HUGE loophole in the rules this year. They measure wing area from centerline of the fuse. A Bearcats wing ends at the fuse. So in a nutshell I get a smaller wing and a bigger engine size allowed to me. The ding dongs have allowed me to count the belly pan as wing area. I love grey areas!!! I always find them. My hope with the sleeve valve is that it will rev higher, and it's very compact so it will fit inside the cowl 100%.

Actually it is pretty typical to include the wing area that is "in the fuselage". As a matter of fact I'm not sure I've ever seen rules that do it any other way. When I wrote the SWRA rules and eventually the SARA rules I know that is how I had it calculated.

At any rate, fly fast, turn left! :-)

I love how he still flys right through the aerobatic box on approach, and then bitches about a Decathlon pulling a vertical move RIGHT past him. My favoite tool at Stead!

well, he has to fly in that way because his aft end is too big to fly in any other way.
