Oh man.... This is going to be good! If Dan can get a gun blistered p-51 to go as fast as he did last year I can just dream about what he will do in Dago. As for who is going to fly PM when Ron it busy in the Bear... I vote for either Mary or Goss, but that will be for Mr. B to decide. Maybe we will make PM into a UAV. Then we can sit on the ground and block for the Bear

Terry Bland, Dan Martin, and Mike Barrow have entered into an agreement, Dago Red is still owned by Terry Bland. Dan Martin will be the pilot and Mike Barrow will be providing the engine. There will be more details in the weeks to come. This is official, but would like any speculation or rumors to be held to a minimum due to the sensitivity of sponsorship deals that are not yet final.

It looks to me that there are more people viewing than usual(120 in air racin'), I assume because of this thread. Can you confirm that Wayne?

Jarrod... there are a lot of logins to the site at the moment... some are likely because of the new news..

A bunch of them are Yahoo search engine bots tho... The amount online at any given time is somewhat deceptive given that the board shows folks as being online for something like five minutes, even after they leave. If I don't do it that way, it expires your cookie too soon and makes browsing the site harder...

Anyway...

Good show for Dan Martin as he is a class act & probably has more P51 time than most of them. I've seen him not only at Reno but many air shows & flyins. Eric make sure you bring at least 3 Margarita wagons between your Dads & Al Goss pits.Keep us posted.

CM borrowed the Bear's "spare" prop, returned it totally overhauled for the fee.. Returning the favor, they also loaned the Bear their carb.... I think it was '03... I missed '04 and everything has been foggy for me since then....

Don't know about the carb, but as it sits now CM has no prop.

Somehow that picture doesn't have the same effect as the pictures of the 'Fly Navy' lettering being added...
