      Re: Bombers over Napa

I just enjoyed my first sighting at Moffett today.

I had just started taking our dogs for a walk when I spotted 3 large planes in a wide group in the pattern about 1 PM, as they turned left onto their downwind leg with gear down and locked, most likely after havig made a fly-by pass over the runway. The B-24 passed almost directly overhead, the B-17 flew a slightly wider pattern and the B-25 wider still to spread themselves out for landing.

Talk about lucky timing! It's the first time I've seen the B-24 and B-17 in the pattern at one time, and having the B-25 in there to complete the trio was a pleasurable bonus.
