You saw the one we had in Reno last year and that was a pretty odd paintjob.

Maybe it can be arranged considering we did paint one like this -

From the engineer's perspective, it's the only nut you can't tighten or safety!

How far is the AIR RACING from running out of Merlins ( Yes RR ).

She is supposed to be primed on Monday............then base coat a couple of days later. She has to be done by July 4th in order to take her to Telluride for the big 4th celebration. Maybe TC will be there with his Mustang............on second thought if his Mustang is there we can't "borrow" his tow bar.

Hey you guys forgot the infamous “Merlin Death Tube” I too spent many a day working fuel leaks on those, happen to work on the one in the picture as well. AHHHH the old Fairchild / Merlin Express freight days!!!!!! I’ll take a Merlin over a King Air any day! I can’t stand that Raytheon/ Beechcraft crap. Last good airplane that came out of Beech was the Beech 18.

                Back to the original thread?

I am fond of the yellow rudder on Merlin's Magic with Bob Hoover's signature on it. Not that's it's sexy or anything but a nice story.

How about the Roto Finish Special's canopy? Anyone know where it is?

I think that's the best looking plane ever.
