Engage the terrain following radar with the autopilot, and the guy could drink an espresso if he wanted to.

I am impressed with the video for 2 reasons; 1. Those pilots have the balls to fly that low in FRENCH build aircraft. 2. I am impressed with the pilot checking the map while navigating the desert floor, but had he been reading a Playboy, I would have been even MORE impressed. Nice video though. Thanks for sharing.

The California 1000 flick is listed as Reno Air Races, B-26, DC-6, Sea Fury, etc...

It is cool, lots of old names, Penhall, Loening, Lacy and planes, Miss Merced, Super Snoopy, Dave Noland's sick red Mustang and Roger Wolfe's old gold one, cool shot of Ron Reynolds blowing by Gunther Balz in the Bearcats, and a pit stop conversation between Bob Metcalf and Lyle Shelton flying 232 for Frank Sanders. Also a great take off shot of Levitz' P-38, I think it's Vern Thorpe flying, he later asks for a screw driver during the pit stop! Quaint...

Hey, when I get rich and buy the old Maytag Mustang/Stiletto, if I remove the outer panels and make a small canopy will I be destroying a stock airplane? Oh, and paint it red, with a super bondo profiled wing, yeah... and buy the old N number from the Ultra Light owner that has it now...
