PRS 2006 Quick Update

Phew! What a week and it's only half over!

I've only time to post a quick update and a few photos.. (excuse the image quality of the bear in the bush shot... heat waves pretty well ruined it but it was soo cool other than that!!!)

News: There have been a number of speculative statements/questions addressing the Rare Bear and reserve pilot identity for this week.. Well, with Lyle Shelton's permission, I can announce that Martin Macy will be the reserve pilot for Lyle Shelton's Rare Bear.

Those of you familiar with T-6 racing will recognize the Macy family name. Martin is the brother of renowned T-6 racer, Nick Macy. Both brothers are from the Tulelake, California, (Klamath Basin).

Ron Buccarelli put the Bear through her paces and was unoficially timed at over 460MPH on during Saturday's Unlimited sessions.. Plans were to run race fuel during Sunday's sessions. Commitments to the movie production crew and my need for some rest precluded me from being at those sessions today...

All other news will have to wait... I'm due on set in a few minutes... More later...

I believe they are stripping and re painting some parts of the wing. Racing wings are profiled with filler and such. Sometimes it delaminates and needs to be redone.

Saw them take off and they made one really cool pass over my house in formaation, then never came back! Did they make any passes at Stead?
