I don't remember how many years they did it, but years ago they use to have a parade of planes in downtown Reno during race week. I would guess it was in the early 70's or so.

the planes were flown from Stead to Reno airport, then at 1am they were toweed to downtown. They were paraded thru downtown, then were towed back to the airport. They fly out tomorrow. MG

I was right across the street from chrisp51man it seems. Nice to see the planes and crews, good to see you there Wayne. Shawn too.

Man did those props really squeeze inder the greatest little city archway? Looks impossible for #57 from that angle. Did the arch shrink in the last rain or what?
