Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

Well, things are going to happen in rapid succession now... I'm going to do a final database backup at 2:30PM CST today. After the vBulletin team gets it - the new site should be operational "with all posts" soon thereafter. Then following a series of checks, and if all goes well, I'll post a link to the new forums here soon.

Thanks for your patience,

the most exciting part about last night was watching them back the racers two blocks down virginia st three times w/full size trucks! 57 wingtips were literally over the sidewalk the "extra's" had to duck!

and of course all the 3d nose art.

Re: Racers Downtown!! Reno's Got Racers!

One of the movie crew (the director?) was telling me he "had" to sit in 57 to handle the brakes at 2 a.m. the night before. At one intersection it was so tight between the poles that with inches at one wingtip the crew person walking the other wing got his hand pinched between the wingtip and the pole.
The skill of the tow crews was amzing, backing those things at least two blocks, backwards, looking like they did it all day every day.

          Wayne,

Pass along my best to Mitch and the crew! Man I wish I was there!!! I know you guys are having the times of your lives. It's almost scary to see these pictures after having been a tiny part of the dream for so long. The feeling's the same as when I first saw the pix of Duggy.

          All the best!
