  • Pics from Camarillo airshow

The airshow today was low key yet still awesome. All sorts of fantastic aircraft covering many decades were displayed and flown. My favorite though was Dan Wright's Nemesis NXT. I must have stared at it in awe for 30 minutes. Its simply bitchin. Hopefully I can get to Reno this year for the first time and see Dan bank and yank around the pylons.

WARNING: I am not V. Archer and do not have a complex camera to do alien pictures or anything

        Nice shots!
Any details on the really sharp P-51D replica.
Sure is swinging a BIG prop for a 75 % scale? replica.
        Kit? FEW? Stewart? Plans Built?
Looks like a FEW to me.

          Peashooter,
Glad you like the Avatar. The Micro Stinger is a design I've been working on for more than a year now. Its powered by a littlescreamer outrunner and uses 2 or 3s lipos for power. This 24" wingspan racer has been clocked at over 150mph using a 3s pack . I've never been to Parker but I live very close to Pt. Fermin. Right now I'm making a sloper version of this design for giggles...well see what happens? the wing on this version was shaped from solid Basswood. (see pic)

          Sierra,
Unfortunately I didn't get many good shots of Man O War. During the warbird flight it was by far the fastest fighter in the air and my attempts are too pathetic to post.

          Mustang,
here are the rest of the 3/4 scale P-51. I did not get any info on it but it was pretty fast in the air also. It flew during the homebuilt timeslot

What type of plane is N724DC? I do not believe I have ever seen one of those before. It is the all yellow one with a turbine. It sure looks cool. Any ideas?

That would be a Legend (turbo-prop of coarse), there is a choice.
Not as fast as they look, but OK.

Deepsky.......I don't know what it is.......but I know Cessna years ago had an airplane that looked alot like that. They were playing around with the idea as a trainer to either replace or go along with the Cessna 150/152.

The canopy on the 3/4 Mustang makes it look like a G/J-model Mustang. My friend and kit builder Jim Ryan has a small hotliner like that and the Lipo batteries keep it zooming around for more that 30 minutes. It is frickin' amazing.

I've seen DS videos from Pt. Fermin -- looks like it rocks!

BTW, if there's West wind, I'll be sloping at Red Rock Saturday evening after the Gold Race at the VOS.

I think Jay is close. Looks like a Anderson-Greenwood (and Slaughter) AG-14.
