Strega and the P-47, if I remember correctly, was a recently finished restoration from Tiger's shop.

If that's the P-47 from Tiger's shop in the sunset picture, the pictures are not from '86. Probably 1993 when he finished it. I was at that Madera show that year. It was my consolation prize for missing the Minter Field show for spring skiing at Mammoth. Nice show even if my 100-300mm zoom went on the fritz when the fighters went up.

I took pictures over at Tiger's hangar every time I went to the Shafter show or if passing through (wife has family in Wasco). It was a scratched up bare metal hulk when he started.

I'll scan some pictures of the rebuild and put them up tonight.
