Just found a picture of the Red Baron under tow at Reno that I took many years ago. Its a good picture, been enlarged, a bit weather beaten but certainly postable if anyone is interested. Oh yea, I dont know how to scan and post. PM me if interested, I live in the Bay Area.

Man! I hope someone can help here...I'd love to see some pics of the Red Baron. It was one of the first planes (after Lefty's White Lightnin' ) that I fell in love with while growing up in Lemmon Valley.

Looks like one of the Browning kids. There was a whole clan of them.

I know Phil Brown. I also have a spark plug from that wreck.

I was there that fateful day. The RB didn't sound right as it passed the start/Finish line. It was slowing and started losing altitude, Went over a knoll out of sight and a ball of black smoke billowing up. What a sinking feeling I had in the pit of my stomack. The announcer stated that Steve was dead before any rescue got to the scene. It seemed to take the rescue helicopter forever to crank up and get going. later the great news that Steve Hinton had survived although in critical condition. Memories I'll never forget.

This is actually my first memory as a child. That thick black column of smoke was burned into my brain and I can still see it to this day.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!
