Re: Unlimited Weight Rule
I think it is better to introduce a new class called the "Unlimited Light Weight Division" than a "Super Sports Class".
This class (if required for safety reasons to prevent buffetting) may actually end up being faster than the heavyweight unlimiteds.
Currently we have a gap where a one off aircraft lighter than 4500lbs has no class in which it may compete unless it meets the rules for F1 or Biplane.
It may be wise to overlap the weight limits so that an aircraft may choose to compete in either Unlimited Light or Unlimited Heavy by setting the minimum for heavy to say 4500lbs and maximum for light's to 6000lbs.
I look forward to the time when we will see more modern aircraft competing in Unlimited and think this would be very popular with the spectators. Hopefully the Sport class will not be too adversly affected by such a new class.
