Graphic Design Help Needed

Next year is the 60th Anniversary of the first Formula One (Goodyear Trophy) race and I need a nice logo to celebrate it. We will use it in the Formula Forum and possibly for memorabilia. There is tons of talent on this forum and I am hoping some one can step up and help us out We are offering a free Associate Membership to the winner. If you have not seen the Formula Forum, we have several years of back issues posted on our website, www.if1airracing.com. Current issues are restricted to members.

I did one 10 years ago but we can use color now, so give it your best shot.

I'm all over this one. If you have seen some existing logo styles, in any genre, that you really like, posting some links to them might bring on some really neat stuff from different designers. I will e-mail to you and post on this forum.

I knew I could get some help here - thanks everyone. If you look at the Forums on-line you will see on the front cover, since 9/11, we display a US Flag or a special 9/11 ribbon. That is quite small and we would replace that for next year which means I need something by the middle of December, since the next issue is January 2007. Depending what it looks like, I will talk to our new Promotions Director and see if he would like to use it on a tee shirt.
That would need to be 3 or 4 color probably and be bigger.

I am all for letting peoples imagination function as unconstrained as possible.

Process Color T's are a reality if you stick with white or very light colors which means there are no limits on the number of colors. I know plenty of process color printers and I bet you do too! Let 'er rip!

Also, do you want us to send designs directly to you or is it OK to post here as well?

Like Neal said - go ahead and post them. It will showcase your skills, give IF1 a little exposure and maybe we can use the feedback to pick a winner. Does Wayne have some kind of voting deal on this site??

We have the poll thing.. that'd probably work, though it doesn't allow us to post the images within the poll, we can prolly work something once some submissions come in.

Working on some thumbnail sketches. Will post soon. In the mean time,
or anyone interested, there are 494 Reno 06 images posted here' http://www.osgfx.com/, click on Event Photography and near the bottom is the button for Reno Air Races 06. I don't have the shutter speed thing down at all so the props are freeze framed in almost all my stuff, sorry. I'll get it down between now and next time.
