Saw this on Barnstormers???

Anyone know anything about this plane? Couldnt sleep and saw this on Barnstormers...says "Built to race at Reno"

The fuselage was made for an inline, (the radial engine fuselage is quite a bit wider). To hang an R1830/2000 on this one, would take some tweaking....

If the fuselage was made for an inline, wouldn't it be a Yak-9?

Could be wrong but it looks like they've adapted a P51 style belly scoop to it. Pictures on Barnstormers, warbirds/yak.

I think that belly scoop is a stock Yak item. You can see it on this one.

The inline Yak-3's, (they are a little different then the 9's).
