Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Thanks again for your patience,

  • IF1 Pilot and Aircraft updates

Hello all Formula One pilots, former IF1 pilots, and supporters,

I have done an extensive update to the IF1 website, with the help of Don Berliner and Bill Rogers, by adding all the information I have been able to find on Pilots and Aircraft (also race results). I would like to ask all of you to go to the pages for yourself and people/aircraft you know to see if there is any information you can add or correct. Also, photos (old and new) are really appreciated.

Here are the links to the pilots and aircraft pages:
    IF1 Pilots
    IF1 Planes

The default display is for active pilots/aircraft. To display all the pilots/aircraft, select "All" where it says "Show Active" and press "Go".

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated, too.

Thank you all for your help!

Re: IF1 Pilot and Aircraft updates

Steve Myers is no longer married but he is still in Scottsdale last I heard. His second racer, Smiddy's Firefly was donated to a childrens foundation with the requirement that it never be flown again. He went back to the race the Cassutt and placed first in Bronze in 2002. (I remember because I got to ride the firetruck! ) I believe he still owns the Cassutt.
