John Slack has been and is being mute on this and other subjects regarding the Rare Bear, primarily because I am no longer in that loop and am not pretending to be in that loop.

Maybe John Slack needs to go jump in Lyle's Pitts and DO some loops.

im not saying that Ron is/was the best choice (he is a heck of a pilot) to race the bear, but i dont think he got a fair shake!

I don't think any qualified race pilot would turn down the oportunity to race someone elses plane, especially the Bear. Except for maybe a few that have been there, done that.... If Ron isn't back in the Bear, I hope he will finish the safety updates, and speed mods on PM.
