We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

    Re: F-105 at RENO

    Thanks Ron,
This takes me back to flying Engineer on the 1011 at TWA. We had a lot of B-47 and F-105 guys it seemed.
The stories were all great, rolling the bomber, etc; but the tremendous speed of the 105 always stuck in my memory. I guess 850 exiting targets was normal!
A guy that flew FO for my Dad was the pilot on the 105 that carried some record ordinance load. That pic (bottom 3/4 view with a big bunch of bombs hanging) and one of George Andre in his SR space suit hang on the family library wall, so it can't all be off topic!

        Re: F-105 at RENO

Chris, I've heard what an awesome flying airplane the 1011 is from ex EAL and Hawaiian pilots, that direct lift control was ahead of its time.

Yes, the F-105G flew final at 208, went to idle with a goal of touching down at 198 kias between 250 and 1000 feet from the runway threshold .
