We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.
Ok people, here are some not so very good copies of air racers from a long time ago. Have fun identifying them and give a date. They are from Stead. Hope they come through.

The Mustang in the photo on the left is Sherman Cooper's N5445V. Don't know which year its shot, but I have seen a photo of it earlier at Reno in 1967. As far as I know it only raced in 1971 flown by a Bill Jackson at San Diego and Mojave.
Sorry nobody has hit the right year yet. I will send out some more alittle later

Well, it must be 1967. I was looking closely at the photo of N5482V and it has a natural metal canopy rail--which may have been what Mike Loening ran on #2 to ferry the plane to and from Reno, even though he raced it with the ugly low-profile THING on it.
And the photo of the Signal Sea Fury looks like a good crowd gathered around it with E.D.'s racer parked behind it...so it could be the trophy presentation for the Harolds Club Transcon, which Mike Carroll won.
The wildcard is that I don't remember Dave Allender's #19 Mustang being there in '67, and I'm SURE it didn't race that year in the pylon races.
