Most authentic scene that I've obeseved in either trailer is when the fat guy in the straw hat and golf shorts jumps out of his chair in the reserved box and points at something without spilling his cocktail....

That scene is classic!!! it's in the original trailer. I can't get on MySpace at work, I wonder if the trailer is new or the same old one???

It's a new trailer - as Dasher says - more "hip hop", less flying. More polished, too. Not targeted at Hardcore Air-race fans for sure, but that's probably the point Also on Youtube - look for Thunder over Reno.

And fat pointing guy is in both trailers.

Can't find the new trailers on either youtube or myspace... but I do know that whatever versions are out there now are supposed to be "internal, for review only"...

Contacted TOR folks, principals ask that we give them time to do it right before "official" release of anything.. Folks getting to see stuff not deemed "ready for prime time" probably will not do the effort any good..

Wayne - How is it that their leading man is getting access to this trailer and posting it on his my space account? If they don't want the public to see this stuff, why are they letting someone who has already demonstrated his unwilliness to cooperate with them take their work and post it in a public forum? You signed an NDA - didn't the cast mambers also?

From what I saw, it did indeed look like a finished product - and you're right - from what I've seen, it (the trailer) will not appeal to someone that is a hard-core air race fan. But that's probably not who they are marketing this film to..right?

Rest assured that I did not find out about the existance of the new trailer from AAFO - a friend of mine checks in on the Hawksters site every now and then and tipped me off. If you don't want it dicussed on your site, I won't mention it anymore, but then lets all do the same - nobody mentions how they saw their bootleg copy of it on their 32" LCD, either.

Ever feel like the man in the middle? Everyone wants to see it, (me too) one party asks that I keep my trap shut, other than a bit of promo blab once in a while...

The other party/parties constantly seek and sometimes find information.. some of which I've not even seen (ask me if I'm really thrilled about that fact!)

I do what I'm asked, and somemtimes feel like I'm left wiping brown stuff off myself in the process..

I think I'll wash my hands of this particular item for a while!

Sorry Wayne - I saw it sitting in my Reader this morning and "assumed" (yeh, I know what it does to you and me) and shared what I saw. It would appear that Hawk needs a shorter leash. I'm just a nerdy guy who has an active search for "Thunder Over Reno" sitting in my Google reader and it spits out what it finds. I didn't mean to start another "guy in the middle" storm for you to moderate.

Dunno... got a copy last weekend, just been watching it on my new vid setup... (upsampling DVD player, 37" HD Flat)

I ain't no Hollywood critic... heck, I liked 1941 and the critics tore it up!

No recognized BIG name talent aside.. the little bit I saw was pretty good and I'm still wiping the goosebumps off my arms.

Really like the Slaughter sound track... Cinematography is beyond outstanding..

From what I understand.. an OFFICIAL trailer is about a month away... or so...

A quickie for the critics of the process of all this.. There's a lot of legal mumbo jumbo.. you know, rights signoff's, producer (read that $$ folks) signoffs... yadda yadda yadda before the OFFICIAL stuff gets released..

Copy I have says right on it, basically.. eyes only... for internal viewing only...

That splain anything??

Anyway, I return this thread to your control, and retreat to my small space on the planet..
