My dad gave me this pic its of steve hinton's b-25 it was taking during the 1976 Mojave air races . Steve was asked if he could do a water drop from the b-25 but was failed to mention the water was in four galllon drums.
as the b-25 came in at low altitude , about 100 feet, the bomb bay dors opened and four drums tumbled out , bounced on the ground and exploded into a spray of water, not unlike an exploding bombbut with out the fire and noise of a bomb.
