This may have been asked before - but why do there seem to be NO pics/video of this amazing moment?? Surely someone captured it for posterity. How about it - anybody have visual evidence?

Bradster... my Sony 8mm digital cam will also play 8mm analog tapes and has a firewire out. My lappy has a firewire in...

Firewire out of the camera rules. I hope Brad will be into allowing you to do the transfer.

Brad - maybe you could mail the copy to Wayne??? Just a suggestion...if you can't/don't want to make the transfer yourself.

Wayne - do you have space to park the files asssuming this can happen?? I am excited about this...in case you couldn't tell!

I do, if Speedy is into it.. he could either send the tape down or I could head up his way some week...

Server has TWO 80gb HD... we actually only use one for backups but if necessary, I can "symlink" to stuff on it so yea... we got space!
