The speed Heinkel He 100D V8 had about 0,74 hp/kg power to weight ratio.

POGO had 0.8 ps/kg power to weight ratio and did 980 km/h ( 609 mph ).

It was a prop plane ( turbo of course ). Very efficient.

Don't ask me where I got the speed figure..I have several books at home..one of them for sure.

Interesting plane, good concept. As it said it had good maneuverability and thrust to weight, it sort of reminds me of this concept (and flown as an R/C). Can't say it looks pretty but if it could live up to even some of its claims it would be an amazing machine.
