Re: The Road to Reno
Cool... I was there last night at the Grand Sierra Resort to see that. Looks promising. They're still raising money for it, but has some potential. Quite a few racers were in town to see the preview.
Even got to see the TOR trailer afterwards. Awesome cinematography.

Re: The Road to Reno
Last night's (03-01-07) "do" was more like a timeshare presentation. The amenities were very good, the food was great, and the alcohol flowed nonstop. The problem is that RARA is hyping (pumping for cash)the people who make the races possible, to make the movie possible. The movie/documentary is a good idea (perhaps a decade too late). The "Thunder Over Reno" movie will help the cause. I don't know where this sport can go without the addition of another race class. The Warbirds are going away and we need something to replace them. Bill Kerchenfaut suggested the possibility of an alternative class 10 years ago but RARA shot it down. Unless we help to direct a change in our favorite motorsport it is going to go by the way of the dinosaur.
