It is always fascinating to me to see how someone with a true artistic mind solves a problem. I am very much a right brained person and I could not/would not have come up with this solution on a bet. I do think it would look great on the back of a T-shirt. I like the symmetry of the design and the sense of speed it portrays. I'm not sure about the "distressed" look, but my daughter loves it! Actually I just looked at it again and I think you must be trying to show what it looks like on a T-shirt...
