No disrespect intended, but I could not disagree more. I don't think it's even in the same ball park. The fact that someone puts a stopwatch to it as each pilot flies through the "course" does not mean (in my eyes) that it isn't an abuse of word "race." As we all know, they put as much weight into the "style points" as they do into the stopwatch time.

None taken. But do you think the frangible pylons are a good idea?

I'm trying to help the Unlimited Aerobatics team get to the World Championships in Spain this year.

One of the biggest problems is getting their airplanes over there.

I wonder if Red Bull would like to help!?

The last time the USAF took them over (during peacetime, BTW) it cost 500,000 dollars and it took the IAC a couple of years to pay it off. Every year before it had been gratis, and they presented the bill AFTER the ride. Nice support of American patriots representing our country to the world. (Sarcastic, I'm sorry).
