Oh no.. I never said that, nor meant to imply it.. trick is...

Fair is fair. When I was a kid, we knew the consequences, so when we did "bad" stuff, we either did it at home where we were "safe" or we went WAY out into the boondox.. you know, where all the houses are now around Reno..

Like I said, you'd have had to have been there during those days. All a cop had to do is see you and you got arrested. It totally depended on his mood.

I was a perfectly normal kid in that I did all the testing of the bounds that are a necessary part of the right of passage from child to adult. IMHO... don't test those bounds a bit when you are a kid, you're gonna test them a lot more as an adult. I know folks who were the straightest arrows in school who became the biggest F-Ups as adults.

Again, though, it's all a matter of balance isn't it...

I didnt grow up under the Brisco influance, It was more the Hartshorne influance. My step dad was a had ass all the way. If I got in trouble it was an intarigation to get what HE wanted. One can only be asked the same question so many times before they brake down and finialy answer it or spill the full truth.

Dont get me wrong, Jim (my step dad) was a great person, right up till I hit 14 or so... Now that I am an adult with kids of my own I can understand why he raised me the way he did. But back then it seemed like he was just a plain ol D$@k for no reason.

And the spots way outside of twon to get into trouble back then... I wonder if they were the same one I got into trouble... lol

      7th st pits,
Spanish springs fire pit (prolly a diferant name when you were around Wayne)
and the best place around Reno for some extream off roading (at least when I was a kid) the Sun vally pits.
