Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Thanks again for your patience,

I know... it's usually sort of, at least that which I've seen, a whiteish stuff...

I've never seen it brown.. That's gotta be oil stains.. But I see some other really interesting stuff... almost looks like torch burns???

    Like Ken said.. "the sins".....

Some of that brown stuff is just baked on oil... right????

          Aluminum doesn't "rust"... right????

No Corrosion, there was too much oil in there to allow that to start. We did find big ripples in the stressed skins near the wing attach fittings. It had been on its back many years ago and "repaired" with bondo.

OUCH! That truly is a sin! You gonna get Chris in there with his stuff and start from scratch?

Here's the torn-down wing of the P-51 "Frenesi". THAT's corrosion!
