Actually, although it doesn't technically "rust" aluminum corrosion is a very real problem. I can't tell from those pics if it is corrosion or stains from oil or something else, but it sure looks ugly. At least the time is being taken to do the job right and make a safe, fun airplane for them to enjoy for years to come.

I know... it's usually sort of, at least that which I've seen, a whiteish stuff...

I've never seen it brown.. That's gotta be oil stains.. But I see some other really interesting stuff... almost looks like torch burns???

Aluminum doesn't "rust"... right????

No Corrosion, there was too much oil in there to allow that to start. We did find big ripples in the stressed skins near the wing attach fittings. It had been on its back many years ago and "repaired" with bondo.
