1981(2?) my crew and I were camping behind the F1/bipe hangar and early one morning Art Schools crew got a delivery of nitros for his act. one of his more savvy crew members took the big N2 bottle hefted it over his shoulder and preceded into the middle of the formula hangar and yelled delivery for Ray Cote. you could of heard a pin drop then we laughed for hours.

When John Penney taxied the Bear out at the beginning of the Sunday Gold Race in 2004 (or was it 2003?) and ran her up to a high power setting while chocked in front of the crowd. The Bear was BACK!

The Bear may not have raced that day but the sound made my hair stand on end and I'll always remember that.

It Had to be 2002 that when i first moved up here saw rare Bear on labor day weekend had no engine didnt come untill a week before Races and got it in the weekend before quilfyiling. Shawn

Time flies so fast for me nowadays. Was it really almost 5 years? Seems like it happened yesterday.
