Billboard... I have a Billboard...

I've been working with a few different air show venues here and I just got this great bit of news today...

"Just thought I'd let you know that one of your images of Bubba's Skyraider is imortalized on a billboard near the eastern end of route 67. Attached is a pic of it. Also your photo of one of the pyrotechnic explosions is on the posters and flyers."

Great pic, Vic.....but how'd they get those great big letters in the sky? And how'd he fly that Spad so close to them without hitting them? Awesome timing on your shutter finger, though....you caught the plane JUST in the right position in relation to those floating letters!

About 20 years ago, there was a billboard for Vantage Cigarettes that had a head-on shot of a Long EZ. It was "24-sheet" paper and I was able to get a copy. The Long EZ now adorns one of the shop walls in my bro's basement where we worked on his Glasair III -- way back when.
