Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Thanks again for your patience,

Smokey's #3 is a re-do of the Budde #2 Okie Streaker (aka: Frieberg Special...)
Not sure what he's calling it now, I kinda like Okie Smokey
and yeah, he is a great guy.

Gary's airplane has a little history. It flew in the '69 Cleveland Races, and has been on the cover of Air Progress. Great to see it back, with an obviously enthusiastic new owner, a welcome addition.

Yeah, neat little bird. It is the only Cassutt I have ever seen with flaps. The ailerons and flaps are aluminum too, which is different.

Ok, lets see if I can get everyones request in for photos. it's all I can do......I cant do anymore. With the Dwelle's T-6's so evenly matched I can foresee some serious competition between the Tom and the boys. I see Tom already trumped the boys and took number 7 for himself. As the boys said......................dad pays the bills, so he gets the number. Chalk one up for the over 50 crowd. Can't wait for September. Enjoy the photos!

Kinda bummed to see Skip in a sports class racer... not that there is anything wrong with that, but we hope that Skip will be back in a gold class unlimited! Be cool if he ran in both classes

Any straight wing jet can race this year.
If the Jet Class can muster up enough racers to come to Reno in September, it should be a very interesting race, with all the different types the class is now open to. ... From what I have been told they need 18 racers to show to be able to race.
hmm, lessee, straight wings, no burners - hey I know 9 guys with jets like that who'll be in Reno about that time, maybe we can talk them into entering to help fill up the field:

C'mon guys, you're outta the country - who'll ever know

                        cheers

                          Sexy.......

Hey...how much 'sweep' on a wing is allowed before its not considered 'straight' anymore?

I'm thinking an F-104 has a 'straight wing' if you look at the layout of it.

YOu know, I've talked to a few former Starfighter pilot, and aparently the plane was quite nimble for the size of its wings. I really don't think it would have much trouble negotiating the course, provided it wasn't full burner at Mach 1.5.

Your right about Skip and the cowbell. Was hanging around near him Friday when he conmmented to someone "If there was only a way to make this puppy a little faster". Was'nt there a 3350 for sale on e-bay?
Was a beautifully prepared plane tho!
Only made Friday. Looked for a few of the AAFOer's but came up fairly empty. Saw you Shawn but could never catch up!

                                RUMORS????

                                From the Peanut Gallery???????

Well, you know what they say about rumors, right? They're the same as opinions. And we all know about opinions.......

Even more fun when you consider where and when the rumors come from.

Speaking of which....anyone see Double Threat there this weekend? Team Wang?
