    Re: A few from PRS

    There's always September!
It was worth it. Got to meet and talk to Mike Brown. He was gracious enough to sign a couple of photos for me.
Tried to get out to see Will, but since they had the pit area roped off this year... Nice runs on Friday by he and Steadfast BTW.

Yeah, judging from everthing I've seen and read, it was easier to drive out to the pylons than it was to walk in the pits this year.

It WAS different than years past. More restrictive, a lot less people. Probably could have ignored the ropes and not have had too much of a problem but I figured they have their reasons and I don't want to contribute to getting this closed of completely. I was there more to see them fly anyway so it was'nt a big deal to me.

Race5, Sorry for the late response, but I did indeed pass my check ride! I couldn't be more excited about it and the PRS experience. I was kind of surprised to read anyone's curiosity about me and the little airplane here on AAFO, but thanks. Here's a link to a report I made on another forum (WIX), regarding the trip to PRS and return....... http://warbirdinformationexchange.or...ic.php?t=13895

Congrats Gary. That was a great read. I will see you in September and I will be pulling for you for all of us that dream of doing what you guys do.

P.S. Dasher might take offense to your blatent targeting of bips .

When I read that report, the first thing I thought of was "Oh crap, I hope Dash doesn't read that part."

That's a picture I'd pay Victor NOT to take.

Dasher, sorry for the blatant abuse of the biplane folks while I was practicing at PRS, but if it makes you feel better, not all of them are as slow as me. I was just lucky to have someone out there that I could practice with. It was a great experience for me, and I would suspect that the biplane folks enjoyed having the Formulas on the course at the same time as well. Seems to me it's a "win-win" situation. Good luck to you in September.
