    Re: LOU IV - PRS

I wish they'd get that paint job right. Any of the "Lou IV"-type paint schemes look cool, but the color was actually a green that had sort of hued blue in the sunlight....sort of like how the desert 'tan' on the planes in North Africa turned 'pink'.

Great shots of LOUIV.It always has been one of the most colorful P51's flying.

        Very nice, Victor.

Couldn't you get any close-ups, though?

Nice to see a LIV back in action at Reno. How many years has it been?

Red Bull has no earthly idea what "air racing" is.

The last time 'a' Lou IV flew at Reno was 1986. Kelly and Dilley had sold the 'old' Lou IV to Dean Cutshall...and he had renamed it Cutters Capers, #91. K/D had the 'new' Lou IV there as #19. I have a photo if the two sitting side by side in the pits. Looked very nice. 19 and 91.

Thanks. I guess the "old" L-IV was the one that co-starred in that episode of Airwolf along with a Christen Eagle. I think that was filmed in '85.

Yeah, I know these are a bit far out, but, I have some very closeup shots of the jets...
