Since Lady Jo had the engine problem Rob couldn’t finish his qualifications, so Dan flew Alice up so he could use it on Saturday to finish.

Thanks for verifying her arrival. My wife now owes me.
She arrived late Friday after we had left and gone home. Made a couple of passes over the house getting in to land. My son and I did the "Hey it's Alice!" The wife said we were full of it and could'nt possibly tell. She loses! HeHeHe.
Too busy to go back out on the weekend, saw her leave tho.

Who was flying Lady Jo? And what was their engine problem?

I believe his last name is Gordon; he's been coming up to Reno for years & has flown Lady Jo & Alice many times. He's one of the guys that give the rides after the days events during race week.
From what I heard about the engine is that it lost compression in one of the cylinders so they couldn't put any high power to it. Dan was going to fly it home with Rob and Will flying off his wing.
