What's everyone's predictions for this years race?

Here's mine;

Reno record qualifying time and race time
both with 500mph+ speeds

Sports: Fastest field yet
Speeds nudging 400mph
The year of the Thunder Mustang

Unlimited: Gold dominated by Sea Furies
lots of blown motors
a Merlin motor to win

Jets: T-33 to get all the race records (as above) 520-530mph
A close race in the 490's between a Buckeye & Pip Squeak
Race fans to take up a new appreciation of the Jet class

Anyone else want to play

How does a Merlin win if Sea Furies dominate? And which Merlin? My Dollar will go to Galloping Ghost for sure (if she makes it), but Im am quite certain that a certain Grumman will come to remind everyone that Sea Furies are only fast when everyone else is slow.....

Galloping Ghost has engine troubles all week, but when Sunday comes around, everything is running perfectly and she wins the Gold by a quarter of a lap.

Victor to need to buy a new laptop with the biggest screen & hard drive out there to be able to store & show all his photos at Reno


The fastest speed of a twin engined aircraft (go Big Bossman )

Clarify prediction on the Gold race, all Sea furies except for 1 Bearcat (no guessing which 1 )& 1 very quick Mustang.

The fastest Bear ever, the fastest gilded Mustang ever, the fastest Czech Mate ever, and the fastest Sea Fury ever all make the Gold Sunday. Two Mustangs, maybe three in it, as some Sea Furies puke early.

Thunder Mustang Sunday finally, but not without some sizzlin' NXT action early. Records falling right and left in the Sport Class. Qualifying, and every Heat, every day, will have new records.

Gary Hubler will have a battle and a half in the Gold Formula race after not being the top quailifier, but superb no-mistakes flying wins him another championship.

A T-33 wins the jet class.

Closest T-6 final ever.

Thunder Mustang Sunday finally!

I am not so optomistic about Thunder on Sunday but it is going to fun to watch! Can someone video the race? I will be busy!

AT6 races cancelled due to FAA investigation of someone stuck upside down in rear seat while looking for missing blow up doll from "Lickety Split". It may be Bud Granley.

I say Unlimiteds will be Bear, and Sept Fury pushing each other to the breaking point allowing the Buick to finally win another. Sport class, all records broken, Thunder Mustang on top when it counts. T-6 class, Warlock followed by Six Cat, followed by Dwelles. F-1, Mariah....again. Bipes, Phantom....again. There won't be a jet class due to not having enough entries. If there is, then the T-33 takes it.

XF-84 ends career as pole dancer, confuses officials as to which class it should enter, freaking, shrieking prop makes pylon photogs spew -- kind of a "double threat"...

Can someone video the race? I will be busy!

Any chance of in flight footage (helmet cam sort of thing) from qualifying or any of the runs out on the track? It's been great watching some of the races on youtube, especially the one's that cut from in cockpit to out side views

Have a great race out there and hope you get some really great speed out of your machine.

About the T-2, is it really that quick? I didn't think it would be, anybody know what sort of speeds it was doing at PRS?
