      UTF?

Why is it you feel the need to post your vile crap here?

Must be that attention starved syndrome I read about in the Boston Medical Journal. It affects all single children of parents that did have any children that lived.

These kind of posts are the reason Crews and Pilots don't post much here.

For the good of the Sport, dump him Wayne.

While I agree with Ed in that much thought should be given to banishment and that it does smack of "censorship"... but there's a point I'd like to make about that exact word..

I've been taken to task in the past, even have a threat of legal action hanging out there somewhere in cyberspace for violation of one's civil rights as in "free speech".. well, there's something that needs to be understood about message boards.. Sorry to say but.. Free Speech does not exist on them.

The owner is held, at least, somewhat responsible for keeping the peace.. That said, legal precedent has been set that in, for instance, cases of someone libeling someone else on a message board, the owner of the MESSAGE, not the owner of the delivery system owns the liability for said statement..

            That said...

The tough job goes to the system owner to keep the place from becoming a bar fight daily.. I'm sure you that frequent the net boards know of a few like that..

The job of keeping this place SANE enough to continue to attract quality posters also falls in my lap! There was a recent banning simply because the person seemed to want to disrupt every single subject and bring it to, what I and many who requested the action taken, considered a childish and annoying level....

Anyway... The job is mine, I take the heat. I may not be the most popular personon on the net but I'm trying to grow a hide thick enough to take that heat... I'll make the final decisions, I'll try to do it with a clear head and never after a round or six of SNPA's or my latest favorite of the month...

I researched Tin Man's posts, many were unnecessary and he did not, in my opinion, make a significant enough contribution to the board to be kept under the conditions of several people asking for him to be nuked.. As I said, once we're through the passion of the races, I'll reconsider..

'Course not. We gotta give you SOMETHING to do. <sarcasm> I mean, don't you just sit around contemplating your navel from October to September every year like all the guys that own these airplanes do? I mean the least you can do is ban a few people right before the annual race, while the airplane guys are trying to find crew chiefs and propellor techs... </sarcasm>

well, there's something that needs to be understood about message boards.. Sorry to say but.. Free Speech does not exist on them.
Good point, and I think very true. And anyone doesn't like how you run your board can go start their own damn discussion board- its a free country. We can all air out our opinions, but ultimately its your decision. and If I were you, I wouldn't worry much once the decision is made. Part of the implicit rules of discussion boards, as I see them, is the fact that by coming here I'm subject to being ticked off if I choose to be. Or letting it roll if I choose. But my only recourse is to leave, not enforce my will on the board owner.

And anyone that thinks its easy to field an Unlimited can go field their own damn airplane, too. Or at least stop and think about how effort much it takes. I'm amazed, year after year, that the owners keep coming back. Bravo to the Steadfast gang for working hard to get there instead of giving up.

Yeah, what HE said........ we are good at that I remember a guy that came out of nowhere and after getting everyone charged up and firing back at him with full broadsides, (I originally typed bradsides, must have been subliminal ) he left without so much as a peep. Haven't heard from him since. But, I think it is easier for Wayne to just ban them so we don't get something going that distracts from the good content here. And encourages people to ask questions without fear of being ridiculed just for asking. I am sure that the quality posters that really know the sport and have contributed here and other places, (as well as to the sport itself), like Matt Jackson, John Slack, Sparrow, Dave Morss et.al. and others that lurk, watch the tone of the discussions. Ask the questions, or answer the questions, or promote ideas without the attitude. Kinda simple if you ask me.

                    Never mind. Maybe next year

Guys, alot of people have offered to try and get this done. Wayne Johnson, whom I met last month at Aero Union in Chico, Ca. has said he will "GET" it done. I will hear from the prop shop this morning then fly the parts down to L.A. where Wayne is now at the shop he just purchased. California Propeller. We need a 43D50 Propeller dome to finish this project.
                        Thank you for your generosity!
