ya me to!! . Im going up Friday and hitting the buffet for dinner. then camping out for 2 days!!! Im hoping strega for unlimited and Greenamyer's legacy for sport. Cant wait!!!!!

For all of these prognistications, very few people have mentioned Drednaught! This ol' girl races by attrition. A little more manifold pressure & we'll burn the Mustangs down! I'll predict that Race 8 will finish second after Tiger "nukes" another motor and the Bear finds a previously-undiscovered gremlin.

Does anyone want to guess what the top qualifying speed will be this year in the gold unlimited class? I love all the anticipation and speculation!! Swaping out a stocker with a full blown race engine after qualifying might not be a bad idea. What's the shelf life of one of those bad boys when run at max power anyway? After observing Tiger in the pits after the race, how can you not be a Tiger fan. The guy has so much passion and is the sports biggest fan. He was sporting autographs of other pilots sharpied on his nomex suit!!! Bear is Bear and has to be a sentimental favorite. Is John Penny at the controls again? Last year was disappointing for bear fans but we won't go there again, lol!! That was a great thread if I say so myself. Heck I had John Penny himself respond not to mention an active fighter pilot instructor chime in!! For a non pilot it was exciting to feel like I was taking shots and hits from the very best in performance aviation!! Keep the hype going!

P.S. will Glen Plake of extreme skiing fame be making another appearance in section 3? How about Bob "Hurricane" Hannah of motocross and Vodoo fame?

I think this is the Bears year. With all of the work done on her over the year. If she holds together I don't think there is anything that can touch her. I like the Fury, but with Strega running a stock engine and Dago standing down, I don't think anyone will catch Penny.

I always love seeing Drednaught out there as well, that old girl is always just a bit behind the leaders.

Can't wait to get out there!

Sorry to see Mike Brown loose that engine though. That team has nothing to be down about...they put a great fight. I don't think they ever saw the 'Bear' as a real threat. I kinda wonder what MB was thinking when John made the pass...

Too much work, too little time..

More on this later but think about it.. In June, she was an unpainted hulk, no tail, no engine...

In September, she had a bitchin paint job, new engine, new tail and won the gold convincingly...
