I feel bad for Ron. He got yanked for comments in the paper that, IMHO, are merely facts, not opinions. There is debate to the validity of the DLC, but no recourse by RARA rules.

At least Ron took the high road (I probably wouldn't have) and continuted his RARA sponsor related photography after being DQed.

I would have beat feet and .... Aw, no I wouldn't have either.

Just mad because it seems Ron keeps getting a bad shake.

One person is getting warm. I am waiting to see if a P-51 can be made with the cockpit extending to the verticle so maybe 4 or 5 people could ride at one time.

According to Dwight (years ago), besides having a -58 (no 2-stage blower), the stock D-model radiator couldn't handle the temps generated to get the prop(s) going fast enough. THAT would cost Major Bucks! Rather than re-work PM, they went to the next generation...THAT was Miss AshleyII. Did you see the final scoop design on her? BRILLIANT!...D.

When working for Zeuschel the subject of Griffon Mustangs came up, Dave knew I had a great interest in these, because of a comment I made to him when I was younger. (That predated the Red Baron BTW) Dave let me read the letter that he had sent to Wiley Sanders at the start of the Jeannie program. Wiley had inquired about converting Jeannie to a Griffon, and Dave answered that inquiry with a five page letter pointing out the good and Bad. Ultimately the bad outweighs the good.

Dwight and Dave were on the same page in that one.

Are the pilots and crews required to sign a non-disclosure agreement of some sort that penalizes them with disqualification if they say something that RARA disagrees with? Is there something in the rules? I am just trying to understand what happened.
