Hi all, i have a question for the Photographers here,
I have customer in the store where i work who is travelling to the U.S.A in about 6 weeks. He currently uses a Canon Rebel XTi and looking for a wide angle lens thats is fast and has IS to replace the kit lens. As part of his travels he is looking to visit several Air museums and was wanting something he can handhold in low light, hence the fast min aperture and IS.
I have recommended him the EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS or the EF 24-105 f4L IS USM.
Depth of field has been a concern for him, and he wants to make the right choice obviously as he is travelling from NZ.
What would you guys choose if you were shooting a Rebel XTi? The EF-S doesnt matter to him as his upgrade path is maybe to a 40D in about 12 months, he isnt after anything higher spec'd like a 5D or 1D series.
Many thanks
