As you all know, we've lost another great racer. Gary Hubler, husband, father, fierce competitor, friend to many, was killed today during a formula one race.

Jason Somes was also involved and is in a local hospital with what are reported to be non-life threatening injuries.

We know you all are praying for Gary's relatives and close friends..

What a shock to lose Gary Hubler.

According to airrace.org, the starting order was Mariah (Gary Hubler), Endeavor (Dave Hoover), Alley Cat (Jason Somes). Mariah clipped Alley Cat. How did Dave Hoover manage to avoid the mid-air? He must have been right in the middle of it. I ask because I'm a friend of Dave's, but I don't want to bother him right now - he must be in total shock.
