Racers under the lights

These 3 were parked outside the main entrance to the Grand Sierra yesterday for the premier of 'Thunder over Reno'.

Those are great shots!
I parked a lot of cars there long ago.
But never have I seen air planes under them lights!

That looks soooo cool!

How did they get those airplanes in that location?

Did they truck them or fly them?

Is that the old Hilton/MGM Hotel?

They fly down to the airport in Reno and then tow them from there over to the Grand Sierra about a mile away. A Few years back they took them downtown and lined them up on Virgina Street. It was amazing.

They flew them to Reno, and then trucked them to the Grand Sierra.
and then valet parked them.
The old MGM Grand/Hilton is now the Grand Sierra.


Bet the Valet guys got stiffed...

Don't forget that it was Bally's for a short time as well...What will it be called next year?

In the photo of the Super Corsair race 57 there is a sign thats facing away from the camera, the sign made me chuckle because it stated "Airport shuttle Line".
