I'm a newbie here but no stranger to those old hot rods on WDIFL .Great pics from the past and many have been used a reference for restorations for cacklefest cars . --- The NHRA Museum is having the California Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso Raceway , Oct. 12-14 , there should be at least 50 fuel dragsters, altereds and gassers push started in front of the grandstands just after dark on Sat. night . They will pull out on the dragstrip and park diagonally in a salute to the pioneers of the sport , the sight and sounds from the past , it may bring a tear to many eyes and it isn't just from the nitro in the air. -- One of my idols from the past , Dave Z should smiling from above . "Z" was involved with drag racing for many years before moving on to Merlins .
