In response to Lockheed Bob, that mystery airplane behind the hat is Race 22, or, P-51D-25NA S/N 44-73129 "Merlin's Magic" owned by Stu Eberhardt from Livermore California. What a great name for a great airplane.

You know what's funny? This one picture has received more hits and gotten more comments than some of the more serious one I've posted Guess I know what I'll start posting more of 
BTW, it's got to be an Unlimited Gold contender. The picture was sandwiched between Spirit of Texas and September Fury from Saturdays gold race.Comment
