I think this is probably the flick that (can't think of the guy's name) died in a crash when the L-39 "Wild Child" clipped a peak in one of the flying scenes. Looked like some good flying scenes at least.

If Burgess Meredith (flying an F-86) can spend an entire movie hunting down Lee Majors (driving a Porsche 917-30), the precedent for badly written scripts has been cast in stone a thousand times over. Cool plane, cooler car, but what's the point? But you have to admit, if you were channel surfing late at night, and one of these b*llsh*t movies was on, you'd probably watch as long as you could to get a fix. Us gearheads are a sick bunch!

Well, actually the previews look better than the TOR IMHO. Hey, never forget that even negative publicity is publicity. Plus it's not really air racing, it's just a lot of planes flying fast close to the ground in cool sequences.

Hopefully strait to DVD, that way it will get out there to people who have never heard of air racing.
