Re: Aviation Nation '07 - WWll Action
Yes Bill -- And, it's now mostly in bomber trim. IF1 racer Gary Austin (Retroaviation here) spent all winter fabricating conversion pieces to bring her back to a B-24A (I think)! He wrote a wonderful illustrated months long thread over on WIX about all that was involved...

Re: Aviation Nation '07 - WWll Action
In case you're interested, and if you've got a couple of days to stare at the computer monitor, you can read all about the transformation of our old B-24A back into it's original bomber configuration on this link.... http://warbirdinformationexchange.or...pic.php?t=9395
There are 177 pages of updates (mostly photo updates), just over 2650 posts, and nearly 400,000 views on this thread alone, since October 27, 2006. I'm also intending to continue the thread this winter with more updates as the winter maintenance progresses.

Originally posted by T. AdamsI was going to say, the WIX thread is only 177 pages long, where have you been Mr. Pearce?
So Victor, got any more? (only around 10,000)

Originally posted by W J PearceApparently not on WIX! I don't get over there much because (are you ready for this?) there is too much going on. I end up reading way too much, hurting my eyes and not getting any work done (I hear the violins playing). But I will check out some of the 177 pages and try to stop in more often. That way I am slightly less likely to embarrass my self in public.
