250cc thats about 40-50% scale.
I want it.. My 50cc doesn't sound anything like this
cause a lot of the stuff for R/C is Overseas.. Most company uses factories overseas.. Engines are made anywhere from the UK to China.
Planes too. I guess it easier to get their hands on the cool stuff
Also a big factor is here in the US we are limited to 55lb weight by our insurance organization unless you get a special waiver. In Europe, they must also get a waiver, but the process is designed to encourage this type of thing, not like here.
You can easily get those planes and engines here, you just have to go through motions to get the waiver. One good thing the AMA has done recently is revise the waiver process for turbine pilot certification. I has been a huge P.I.T.A., but now is a bit easier.
We still have a 200 mph. limit for jets even though there are gliders (without engines) going in excess of 300 mph that you intentionally fly at yourself lap after lap.(Dynamic Soaring) The perceived danger is misplaced on the turbine community IMHO.
