Randy, I saw an F-111 for sale and think they want 7 million for it. Do you know the maintenance requirements and approxiate costs per hour to fly on of these 25k lb. thrust TF030's? How many qualified pilots can afford this?

Very few people could afford to fly and maintain the F-111 on a civil budget. The Vark was a notorious maintenance hog -- one of the prime reasons it was retired in the mid 90s despite it's awesome jamming capabilities.
It would be incredibly expensive to maintain even *if* you already owned all the support equipment for it. I can't even imagine what it would cost to buy all that stuff, too..
