Peas: i went to look up "gelding" and Merriam-Webster came back with:

LOL... well, when MAII had her "hanging" scoop changed to flush inlet, it was referred to by some as "the sex change scoop"... in that it went from an "outie" to an.. ."innie"....

In the case of lopping the "hangie" scoop off altogether...
