    I've never been to PRS either, and any info for a newcomer would be greatly appreciated, re. is it an open event, best viewing, do's and dont's, etc..

      From my experience, each year it gets a little more restrictive. Last year the ramp was roped off keeping spectators away from the racers. but you can still go a little further down the ramp and watch.
      It isn't really a public event, but as of yet they haven't closed the field off. I've always just used common sense and courtesy. Park out of the way, stay out of the way, stay behind the deadline and out of any areas your not invited into.
      If we are courteous and not a nuisance they won't have any reason to want to ban us.
