                  Re: Low flying aircraft?

Another great island for low flying planes is St.Barth, ten minutes by twin otter from SXM. Airliners.net has some shots and UTube also. It is really spectacular. The runway is 2,100 ft long with about a 20ft. elevation change from approach end to departure end. The final approach takes you directly over a traffic intersection and local lore has it that a twin otter bounced a wheel off a car at one time or another. It is really something. Dorniers and Twin Otters are the largest a/c that can make it in there. Oh, forgot to mention, the runway ends 35 ft. from the beach and a beautiful bay. Oh, to own a wheel and tire shop at the end of the runway.

Those are some cool shots. I bet one could get some similar ones from the beach at the end of the runway in Kona Hawaii. Might get some military stuff as well. Thanks for posting.
