Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Thanks again for your patience,

      Thank you!
I keep thinking I need to turn it into one of those period war bonds or keep'em flying posters.

Kid does have that classic look!

Wonder what mom&dad are gonna say when he "comes askin" -- "what-da-ya think of me racin' airplanes?"

There's on old homebuilder's saw, "90% done, 90% to go." That last "90%" is consumed by the detail work; usually systems and troubleshooting of same. The key at that stage is to get at least one thing done every scheduled workday.

In Wildfire's case, that "last mile" has to be tough, given the airframe's intended mission. Add to that the passing of the designer/father/mentor during this critical stage and it makes everything that much more difficult.

She'll fly when the time is right, and I'm sure that there will be one big ole' party when she's back in the chocks.

You know they, mom and dad, have already lost sleep about that one.

I can imagine in the very near future hearing this at the start of the unlimited gold final:

              "Gentlemen...son...you have a race!"

              How cool would that be?

              Go Stevo!!

Just a reminder, per RARA rules:

"In addition to the class rules, a pilot must be twenty-one (21) years of age in order to fly a racing aircraft on the Reno race course during race week."
